Dispatcher Job Description

Statement of Technical Duties
As the LCSO Dispatcher holds a vital role withint the LCSO. You will be responsible for operating radio and computer equipment, recieve reports of police emergencies, and relay information to law enforcement personnel via TeamSpeak 3.
General Statement of Duties
In general, the duties of a dispatcher are to manage the radio communication and provide dispatching services for law enforcement personnel during team patrols.
Supervision Received
Works under the direction of the Sergeant - Dispatch Superivosr and Captain - Dispatch Commander.
Job Requirements and Specifications
Ability to cope with situations firmly, courteously, tactfully, and with respect for the rights of others.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
Ability to write and speak effectively.
Good general intelligence and emotional stability.
Ability to react quickly and calmly under emergency conditions.
A Dispatcher must be able to act without direct supervision and to exercise independent judgment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Must be at least 14 years of age
Must have a legal copy of GTAIV on the PC
Must have a fully functional microphone
Must have Team Speak 3
Must be able to download and run the computer-aided dispatch system.
Must be able to work with a team
There is no requirement for a Dispatcher to have the GTA IV game or LCPD-FR modification program installed on their computer. Dispatchers are able to perform their job functions independently of the game.
Dispatcher members are ideal for those individuals who want to be apart of a great team/clan and do not have the computers that can handle the game requirements.
